1. Overview
Every Life Tribute (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use our website, applications, and related services (the “Service”).
The Service is designed for funeral homes, directors, families, and guests collaborating on memorial presentations. Because the content may include photos and personal information about deceased individuals and their families, we handle data with care and limit use to what is needed to provide the Service.
2. Information we collect
Account information. Name, email address, organization and location details, role (director or family collaborator), and authentication data managed through our identity provider (AWS Cognito).
Memorial content. Photos, music, slide text, presentation settings, guest contributions, and related metadata uploaded by directors, families, or guests.
Usage and device information. Log data, browser type, IP address, display device pairing identifiers, session activity, and similar technical information used to secure and operate the Service.
Billing information. Subscription status and payment-related identifiers processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Authenticate users and enforce organization/location access controls
- Enable collaboration on memorial presentations and chapel displays
- Process subscriptions and communicate about billing
- Respond to support requests and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
We may use automated tools, including AI services where configured, to assist with guest photo review or presentation features. Such processing is limited to the memorial context in which content is submitted.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers that help us operate the Service, such as cloud hosting and storage (AWS), authentication (Cognito), payments (Stripe), and optional AI providers when enabled
- Your organization — directors and authorized staff at your funeral home can access memorials and content within their locations
- Family collaborators invited to a specific memorial
- Legal and safety recipients when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
5. Data retention
We retain account and memorial data for as long as your organization maintains an account or as needed to provide the Service. Memorial content may be retained according to your funeral home's practices and applicable law.
You may request deletion of certain account information by contacting us. Some records may be retained where required for legal, billing, or security purposes.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encrypted storage for uploaded assets, authenticated access controls, and tenant-scoped data separation by organization and location.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please use strong passwords and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us using the information below.
Directors can manage team access, locations, and display devices from account settings. Family collaborators can contact their funeral director regarding memorial content.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Guest contributions and family accounts should be managed by adults authorized by the family or funeral home.
9. International users
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to such transfer subject to applicable law.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
